A tribute to Phillip Duncan † (1967-2012)

It is with great sorrow I must report, our dear writer/director and star Phillip Duncan has died of cardiac arrest at his home in Lakewood, Colorado earlier this year. We had just completed the film a few weeks prior and tragically Phillip will never see the fruition of a film that took nearly 7 years to complete.

I had the great pleasure to work with Phillip for over 16 years and together we had worked on over 20 film projects together. He was my closest collaborator and best friend. It is my intention and honor to see that his legacy takes shape and his voice be heard. Not only was Phillip a Filmmaker, but also a poet, a painter and a singer with an astonishingly massive body of work I truely believe was of historical artistic relevance. I hope that with the release of "Love Songs for Scumbags" his talents will no longer remain in obscurity and many others will experience and appreciate his art as I have.
